Watts set to deliver Quarry Gardens

The long-awaited Toowoomba Quarry Gardens project looks to be taking a step closer to reality today following my announcement that a future LNP Government would commit $250,000 towards a feasibility study of the project.

The long-awaited Toowoomba Quarry Gardens project looks to be taking a step closer to reality today following my announcement that a future LNP Government would commit $250,000 towards a feasibility study of the project.

A future LNP Government would take the first vital steps towards making the project become a reality.

Toowoomba, the Garden City, has been waiting for progress on this exciting project since it was first proposed back in 2001. I have been lobbying hard with my LNP colleagues and today I am pleased to announce the LNP’s commitment to this project.

Unfortunately, from 2001 to 2012 the people of Toowoomba North had a local member who was not really interested in progressing this project, and while they paid the local community a lot of lip service they failed to have the State Labor Government progress the matter.

Since I was successfully elected in 2012 I have worked hard to lobby both my LNP colleagues as well as the State Labor Government to get this project up and running.
