Labor MPs bitterly divided

There is more evidence today that Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is leading a divided party.

It comes after Housing Minister Mick De Brenni broke Cabinet solidarity and attended a union organised rally protesting Police Minister Mark Ryan.

Shadow Minister for Corrective Services Trevor Watts said Labor is clearly divided.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk has lost control of her own party,” Mr. Watts said.

“Her Ministers are at loggerheads over the state of Queensland prisons and scrambling to come up with a solution.

“Under Labor, prisons are over-crowded and staff are treated like punching bags.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk is using the Crime and Corruption Commission report as a smokescreen for underinvestment and incompetence.

“It just shows how much influence the union bosses have over Annastacia Palaszczuk’s Government.”
