Minister thanks Police and West End Community

Minister for Police Jack Dempsey has thanked the Queensland Police Service officers involved in managing this morning’s relocation of protestors at Musgrave Park.

“Officers were faced with a very difficult situation but regardless carried out their duties thoroughly with sensitivity and fairness,” Mr Dempsey said.

“I would also like to thank Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, his council officers and local Elders who were involved in negotiations with the protest group.”

Mr Dempsey also commended the protesters who were able to carry on their demonstration in an orderly manner.
