This festive season, LNP Member for Toowoomba North Trevor Watts is joining forces with community groups and organisations across Toowoomba North as part of a 12 Days of Christmas Community Giving Campaign.
Mr Watts said he was proud to call Toowoomba home and to be a part of a community which gives so much back to those in need.
“There is nothing more precious than the gift of giving,” Mr Watts said.
“So many families doing it tough this Christmas, will benefit from the generosity of the Toowoomba community.
“Thanks to the hard work of local community groups and not-for-profit organisations, essential food, clothing and other items will be distributed far and wide across the Darling Downs in the lead up to Christmas.
“For some people, Christmas can be such a difficult time of year.
“It’s heartwarming to see volunteers and organisations coming together to support those doing it tough and making the festive season a little easier.
“It’s a privilege to be able to lend a hand to local community groups and organisations for the 12 Days of Christmas and see the generosity of our local community putting a smile on someone’s face.”
The 12 Days of Christmas Community Giving Campaign will kick off on Monday the 10th of December and run through until Friday the 21st of December.
Mr Watts will volunteer his time with a different community group or organisation each day.
