Watts Encourages The Community To Nominate For Australian Of The Year Awards

Member of Parliament for Toowoomba North, Mr Trevor Watts wants to encourage the community to nominate inspirational local community members for the 2013 Australian of the Year Awards.

Mr Watts believes that the awards create an opportunity to recognise members of the community who go unnoticed with work they do for their local community.

“There are many incredible local people whose talents and dedication are improving people’s way of life and by nominating them for the awards is a fantastic way to reward their courage, dedication and leadership.”

“Inspirational Australians can be found anywhere in Australia, especially in regional areas such as Toowoomba. I would strongly encourage the Toowoomba community to nominate local community members who they believe to be worthy of this prestigious award,” Mr Watts said.

There are four categories in the Awards:

Australian of the Year
Senior Australian of the Year
Young Australian of the Year
Australia’s Local Hero
